Rate of Grants Of Different Educational Schemes

There are different types of educational schemes are provided by the Backward Class Welfare and Tribal Development Department, govt. of West Bengal. Lets check those schemes and the rate of grants.

Shikshashree

• Student Category: SC and ST students can get benefits.
• Class: Students From V-VIII can participate.
• Rate of Grants: Rs 800/- Per Year.
• Annual Family Income: Rs. 2,50,000.
• Quota : No quota.
• Duration: Once in a Year.

Hostel Grant Scheme

• Student Category: SC and ST students can get benefits.
• Class: School Students.
• Rate of Grants: Rs 1000/- Per Month.
• Annual Family Income: Rs. 36,000.
• Quota : 55,000 for SC and 49,500 for ST.
• Duration: 10 months.

Ashram Hostel Grant

• Student Category: SC students and ST students.
• Class: School Students from class 1 to 10.
• Rate of Grants: Rs 1125/- Per Month.
• Annual Family Income: Rs. 36,000.
• Quota : Number of students ( For accommodation)
• Duration: 12 months.

Post-Matric Scholarship

• Student Category: SC students.
• Class: School Students from class 1 to 10.

  • Class 5 – Class 6 – Rs100/- p.m.
  • Class 7 – Class 8 – Rs 125/- p.m.
  • Class 9 – Class 10 – Rs 150/- p.m.
• Annual Family Income: Rs. 60,920.
• Quota : 1962 for SC and 1038 for ST.
• Duration: 12 months.

Merit Scholarship

• Student Category: Only for SC students.
• Class: Students from class 9 to 12.
• Rate of Grants: Rs 400 per month.
• Annual Family Income: Rs. 36,000.
• Quota : 790.
• Duration: 12 months.

Unclean Occupation from classes 1 to 10

• Student Category: Only for SC students.
• Class: Students from class 1 to 10.
• Rate of Grants:
  • Hosteller : Rs 8000 per year.
  • Day Scholar: Rs 3500 per year.

• Duration: 10 months.

Pre Matric Scholarship (Class 9 and 10)

• Student Category: Only for SC students.
• Class: Students from class 9 to 10.

  • State (Hosteller): Rs 10000 per year.
  • GOI (Hosteller): Rs 7000 per year.
  • Day Scholar: Rs 3500 per year.
• Annual Family Income: Rs 2,50,000.

Pre Matric Scholarship (OBC)

• Student Category: Only for OBC students.
• Class: Students from class 5 to 10.
• Rate of Grants:
  • Rs 4000 per year (Class 5 to 10).
  • Gr.A – 10000 (Academic Allowance) + 10000 (Tuition Fees) = 20000/-
  • Gr.B – 8000(Academic Allowance) + 5000 (Tuition Fees) = 13000/-
  • Gr.C – 6000(Academic Allowance) + 2000 (Tuition Fees) = 8000/-
