Oasis Scholarship 2024
The oasis scholarship program is a unique initiative taken by the backward class welfare and tribal development department of west bengal government. For pre-matric or post-matric scholarship, students belonging to Backward Class and Tribal Class ( SC, ST and OBC ) can participate in this program by applying at West Bengal Government’s Oasis.gov.in portal. Through this initiative, students will get some important educational support like book purchasing fees, tuition fees, admission fees, hostel fees. The online application process of this scholarship is already started.
For pre-matric scholarship, SC and ST category student’s annual family income must be under Rs 2 lakh. For post matric scholarship, SC and ST category student’s annual family income should be under Rs 2.5 lakh. Similarly, the annual family income should be under Rs 44,500 for Pre Matric OBC and under Rs 1 Lakh for Post Matric OBC students. Students will get the benefit of this scheme for 10 months in a year. Eligible candidates can participate in this scholarship scheme by visiting West Bengal Govt’s oasis.gov.in portal.

- Student must be a parmanent domicile of West Bengal state.
- Student must belong to SC, ST, or OBC category.

How to Apply For Oasis Scholarship?
To apply for oasis scholarship, first you have to complete the student registration. After that you’ll be able to apply online. Lets check the process.
- Visit the official portal oasis.gov.in.
- Navigate to “Student’s registration“.
- Select the district of your institute and submit. Students who study outside of West Bengal, need to select district of their permanent address.
- Verify the caste certificate with Caste Certificate No. , issuing date and solving a captcha. Also computerized certificate number is required during the certificate verification. You can also use acknowledgment number by visiting castcertificatewb.gov.in if you don’t have computerized certificate number.
- Check the details of your caste certificate and enter your aadhaar details.
- Click on submit and enter primary details with annual family income details.
- After that, provide some additional details like district, block/municipality, institute, state, pin code.
- Now provide your academic details such as last passed class, year of passing, scholarship type etc.
- Then create a new password and confirm it. Then click on Submit.
- After the submission, you’ll get the acknowledgement slip.
- Now login with your credentials. Enter address and other details.
- Upload income certificate. Also select hostel if you’re a hosteller student.
- Enter supporter details and your present educational details.
- You have to provide your bank details with IFSC code. Then save and proceed.
- Then Verify and Lock the application.
